Derik and Carmi decided on a romantic Winter wedding at the beautiful Kleinkaap in Centurion. There is just something about Winter weddings that I love. And Carmi really pulled off the Winter theme with her choice in decor and flowers. Everything was earthy and had a bit of a vintage flair to it. Carmi is quite creative and she did the stationary for their wedding herself. It is quite clear, when looking at all the wedding detail, the attire of the guys and her bridesmaids and her dress, that she is a woman with a good dose of style. Derik is also gifted it seems in the style department. I mean, look at the ring he proposed with! Naturally a quiet guy, I really did not expect what unfolded when he did his speech! He is really good with words and I could suggest that he considers writing, be it as a hobby or for a living.
We were blessed with perfect weather. I got into a little tiff with the pet chicken at Kleinkaap. For some reason this chicken had some major issue with me. A first for me. So maybe the chicken was not too keen on warm weather in Winter. But the rest of us were quite happy with the beautiful day we were blessed with.
It really was a beautiful day filled with friendly familiar faces (I also photographed Derik’s sister’s wedding), superb food and good music. Their DJ was one of the best DJ’s I have ever experienced at a wedding. A perfect day was complimented by a perfect honeymoon in Greece. Now how is that for awesome?! 🙂
