This couple is very close to our hearts as a family. I met a phenomenal person when Euline started working at the ATKV. I used to have a full time job there a few years back. Little did I know that this sweet, gentle woman would end up filling such a great space in my heart. It is said that unexpected friendships are the best ones. This is absolutely true with our friendship.

It’s been a few years since both of us worked for and left the company. And much has happened since. I became a full time Photographer. Euline now has a job organising Christian events and working with a number of churches in South Africa. We had our first baby. Barnie and Euline travelled a bit. The four legged wing of our family grew. Barnie expanded his army of Lego men. Then news came: Our dear friends are expecting! And a week later, more news: We are expecting (now that was a surprise).

Gender tests results came in: Boys 🙂

I am pretty sure it is safe to say that our boys will be good friends. Both have awesome parents and these awesome parent pairs are good friends. That in itself is a good start for a strong friendship.

Little Reghardt Botha arrived just over two weeks prior to our little Eliya’s birth. Euline and myself will have many years of negotiations when it comes to birthday party dates in order to avoid clashes.
